Dr. Alicia Wallace, a native of Rochester, NY, has performed in venues throughout the United States, Scotland, Italy, and China. She holds a Bachelor of Music in voice from the Eastman School of Music, a Master of Music in voice and opera from the University of North Texas, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from UNT in voice and musicology. Dr. Wallace has served on the voice faculties of the University of Texas at Arlington, Tarleton State University, and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She is a passionate music educator and strives to change the lives of her students through music.
Dr. Wallace holds memberships with the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the National Association for Music Education, the American Choral Directors Association, the College Music Society, and the American Musicological Association. She has taught vocal music since 2004. Previous students have gone on to vocal and theater programs at University of Pittsburgh, University of North Texas (Denton, TX), Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX), Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, TX), Beaumont University (Nashville, TN), Abilene Christian University and Dallas Baptist University.
Dr. Wallace is well-versed in the classical bel canto singing technique, musical theater singing techniques, as well as choral techniques.
